“My name is Jake and I’m originally from Scotland. I came to Norfolk in 2025 to begin the Ministry Training scheme and to work for a local church. As part of my training I attend the TEAM course in Cambridge, learning how to teach the bible whilst thinking about doctrine and various aspects of theology. In addition to this I’m involved in our own In-House Training, thinking through elements of disciple making and the role of the church in mission. I’ve also been teaching the bible in various settings in my local church, serving the various needs from toddlers to senior saints. Alongside this, I’ve had the opportunity to preach in several churches across Norfolk as well as being involved in teaching the bible in local schools. I’ve been actively engaged within the local community through door to door visitation, mission work in the local park and sharing the hope of Jesus within our area.

The Govett Foundation made it possible for me to pursue further theological training whilst continuing to work for my local church as a second year trainee.”
